WiFi Internet is available at the cottage. Login details are on the wall in the kitchen. To manage expectations, please note that this is limited to 1Mbit/200Kbit per user with a total bandwidth of 4Mbit/400Kbits. Our internet piggy-backs off John's over the road. There is no FTTC/Fibre in Crianlarich until at least 2027 and speeds per property are of the order of 10Mbits down/800Kbits up. Think of it as a wet bit of string! There is (much faster) 4G in the car park if you wish to brave the cold/midges! Note that file-sharing, video sites, P2P etc are blocked but social media, youtube, email & general browsing will work fine. If its not working then do let us know, - some things can be fixed remotely, but for most faults, someone will need to visit which might not happen during your visit!
The cottage has a facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/omccottage feel free to add your comments/feedback to this page.
The highest munro in the area is 'Ben More'. We now have a webcam pointed at it. See http://www.benmorewebcam.co.uk
Right next door to the cottage, you'll find the Ben More Lodge Hotel. They have a public bar and offer resturant/bar meals (best to book). You can also get WiFi internet access here.
Further into the village you'll find the Rod And Reel pub and the Crianlarich Hotel also offering food/meals.
If you need to buy or hire outdoor gear during your stay then Killin Outdoor Centre and Mountain Shop should be able to help. They also hire mountain bikes, kayaks and canoes.
Outdoor clothing is also available from The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum.
Inverardran Cottage is the ideal base for exploring the southern highlands.
