The main subject for discussion will be the frequency and timing of business meetings, and when new members can join the Club.
At the AGM at the beginning of March, the committed agreed to check the constitution regarding when new members could join - specifically, if it was restricted to business meetings. The result of that check is shown below.
The constitution, as agreed at the AGM in February 07, says:
"Every candidate for membership must be proposed and seconded at a general meeting by two members of the Club who have climbed or walked with the candidate on at least two occasions."
We have an indoor event on the first Thursday of every month except July and August. Each of these, whether or not a business meeting is also held, constitutes a "general meeting" of the Club.
The business meeting will be followed by the Annual Photographic Competition.
