Camping meet over Easter weekend. Up to you how long you attend for. Some people will likely do 4 nights, thurs-sun, while others will just do fri and sat.
Location to be decided, based on weather and availability. I'm for the far northwest myself somewhere with access to Rieff. Maybe
Clachtol or
Achmelvich campsites near Lochinver, or the new wild camping area at
altandhu which is the temporary replacement for Achnahaird which is now closed. Other possibilities might be Lairg (for the 4 northern Munros), or Cullen (For Logie Head) if east looks better than west (although this campsite will likely be full, and there ain't much hill walking around).
Stu and Jeanie are planning to head to Wales which, if the weather is half-decent seems like a good idea. Both Wooler (for climbing) and the lakes are going to be mobbed easter weekend so I don't think they are worth considering.
What would those who intend to come along prefer?
Depending on location, it might still be winter boots/crampons/ice axe conditions this year (esp Cairngorms) so bear that in mind when packing yer cars!
Just phoned
Woodend Caravan Park 5 Miles outside Lairg. Looks like a nice location. £6pp for a man+tent, £8 per tent for two people (she was a bit vauge). She said that they have not yet got the water back on in time for easter, and that they are still getting frost every morning (with blue skies).
