Hi

Loops and myself will have room for one other for the Seatoller (lakes) camping meet.

As with all camping meets, if the weather looks poor at the primary destination, we will choose another. Final decision as to the destination will be made Thursday Eve and posted here.

Weather forecast towards the weekend is very unsettled by the looks of it - hopefully it will become clearer as the week progresses.

For anyone heading out on the hills between now and the weekend its worth remembering that the freezing level is to come back down to 1300M, and its quite windy! - don't pack those gloves/hats away quite yet!

I am not sure I will be able to make this meet with not transport and a dog to look after. I am sure you don't want holly hair all over your new van Nigel. Looks like it might be busy tho with climbing festival on over that weekend.

Climbing festival looks interesting - appears that they are trying to get people to climb the less climbed crags.

The festival centred around the other 'Seathwaite' in the lakes btw (there's another one at Duddon Valley in the southern lakes!). Hopefully, our area will not be too busy.

How come you have not bought a car yet?! Should be loads about at this time of the year!

I should have a car by the end of the month, I am hoping to pick up a bargin of a Polo from Bruce's Mum when she has finsished with it all things going well. Low milage, well looked after, 12 months MOT so it should be worth the wait.

Weather:

At this stage, the Lakes, Northumberland & Galloway etc look to have joint best weather heading into the weekend. The forecast for the Lakes has been getting better as the week progresses. At the moment, it looks like this meet will be going ahead in the proposed location. Will update this post after Thursdays MWIS forecast.

Northern Gorms and NW highlands have the worst forcasts.

Hi

Just to update people, this meet will be going ahead at the intended location (see the meets list for details). Weather looks reasonable. Loops is cycling down! I'll be driving down at about ~5PM from Stirling - room for another if they need a lift.

Will see people on the camp site at Seatoller (hopefully!)

With the anticipated petrol shortages, Lucy will be the only one getting back
