That wind is going to be brutal. Logie Head will be in the teeth of it too being a Nor'easterly. Bit cr*p for tents.

You can pitch behind me van! The forecast is for the Cairngorms though and the comments about galeforce winds apply to the summits, along the coast it may be a slightly different story.
Will post @ 4:30PM
Will see everyone in the club for the quiz/bus meeting @ 8PM!

What about this for an idea.... Weather in the Coe looks good so far (will look at MWIS this aft). We could all stay at the cottage and do stuff on the Buachaille? Not too far from home, great if the weather is good.

Hi
Northwest and West looks best and multiple forecasts would seem to agree. Looks like Wooler is out. The gorms look worse on Sun than the west.
I'm up for NW or West. It looks like the further north you head the better the weather will generally be. I have a feeling that Rannoch Mor will be worse than the general forecast for the area (as per usual).
I would actually suggest Pol Dubh - an excellent crag, and one thats best experienced outside the main summer months, while there is a wee bit of wind to keep the midgy blighters at bay. (this weekend is probably ideal) There's also plenty there for a couple of days worth, and a decent camp-site & bunkhouse (albeit the wrong side of the river for the BH!) down the road. The pub attatched to the BH is within walking distance of the camp site over a wee bridge if I remember rightly.
Was speaking to someone in out suvvern office today - the weather is apparently awful down there. The front that was supposed to bring bad weather UK wide over the weekend arived ahead of schedule, and will largely have died out by the time it swirls up to central Scotland.

Pol Dubh is a great crag but the midgies are MURDER. I am coming over to the Club tonight so we can have a chat with who's all there. I am still up for the Coe, poss Pol Dubh but can't be a*sed with the NW. See you at the Club.
