At last I am planning to do my last munro [after 25 years]the Saddle in Glensheil, Kintail on Saturday the 4th Sept all welcome, sorry the date is not suitable for some friends and clashes with CIC HUT Meet but I will be delighted to share the day with anyone who can come.I checked out accommodation and the Kintail lodge hotel has beds in the wee bunkhouse 6 on Friday 3 on Saturday no acommodation in Kintail outdoor centre Ididn't get through to Ratagan yet so it will be a camping trip unless beds available in Ratagan.

I am looking forward to this one

but hopefully the midgies will have died down to allow camping

Trish , why don't you stay in the Kintail lodge hotel ?

ps it will be the sixth anniversary of my own Munro completion , coincidence or what?

Sorry I can't be with you that weekend. My Mum has spent over 79 years reaching her 80th birthday on Sept 4th. Celebrations will be taking place on the south coast of England. Chris & I will be with you in spirit and will drink a toast to your achievement. Have a great day! Jean

Sorry Trish, can't be with you either on the great day. I will be visiting my family in Germany from 27th August until 5th September, booked my flights 2 weeks ago. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for good weather!

Celebration meal at Kintail Lodge Hotel planned for the Saturday night.
Please can you let me know asap if you are coming for the meal
as I need numbers for booking, and to enquire if a set menu
is available for parties.

Also, are you interested in staying at the hotel? If there is enough
interest I can enquire about a block booking for accommodation as well.
Advertised prices for DBB and a la carte sample menus on their website
www.kintaillodgehotel.co.uk, quite reasonable compared to £16pppn on a
sardined lumpy mattress bunk at Ratagan!

Finally, can I ask you to spread the word if you know people who would
want to come but dont use this forum,

mmmm...Kintail reasonable, well maybe not.

Anne was looking at the special deals but it turns out that it is more like £58 per person... for B&B.

Lumpy mattresses here we come.

Re meal at Kintail Lodge, I have been in contact and they will send some
sample table d'hote menus and prices.

Re B & B accomm at Kintail Lodge, they have some double and 3 person rooms
available at present. It is £58pppn, or £146 for 3 sharing, so please make
your own bookings direct with the hotel. 01599 511275.

Nearby 'Glomach' B & B is full that weekend.

Gutted. Really wanted to attend your last munro bash Trish (and had started training for it!) however that is the day Claire leaves for University. So for the time being it is a sorry. J
