Jeanie and I heading for Traprain on Sunday. Dropping mum off at Edinburgh Airport just before 8am and then heading for breakfast in Haddington before going to the crag, early start!. Know a few folk were at Traprain on Friday, how did you get on?

Stu, good day. Crag mostly dry with a few wee damp bits. Some good routes done, Direttissima (Lewis), Brute (Ewan), The Pinch VS 5a variation (John and then me later on). Other few bits and bobs. All good.
Have a good one and see you through the week??

Bruce

Aye a good day in the sun on Saturday. The weather was equally good at Aberdour on Sunday wae Kate's pal Ali where we climbed Conquistador Crack, Stomach Ache, The Beast, Ugh,Squirrel Slab, the superb Gaucho (first time for a long time),Diptera and Hallelujah Wall. Refreshments in the Aberdour Inn after. Not surprisingly the crag was quite busy wae a low tide at oneish.
How did the tigers get on at Cullen?

Fantastic time at Cullen, beautiful location and blue skys on both days. Nigel and myself had the place almost to ourselves sharing with two others on each day. On Saturday a local climbing pair from Nairn pointed out the best climbs and took photos for us. Nigel to post later.

Logie head is the best crag I have been on, every climb deserved at least one star. The HVS4c Crows crack was particulary good value with an interesting undercut traverse.

Climbs completed were.

Sea Mouse - HS 4b Lead
Bladder Wrack - S 4b Lead
Sea Urchin - HS 4b Nigel Lead
Poacher - VS 4b Lead
Cullenary Delight - VS 5a Lead
Fisherman's Tail - HS Nigel aborted lead (my effing arms are knackered), my lead
Crow's Crack - HVS 4c Lead
Greenpeace - S Nigel Lead (thought it was Cullen Chimney oops)Iain Forest route
Brittle Star - HS Nigel Lead
Fallen Star - VS 4c Lead - Best VS climb EVER.
Cullen Chimney - S Nigel Lead (Iain Forest route)
Cullen Crack - VS Lead (Very deep minimal gear)

The only thing missing from this club meet was other club members to share the craik with.

See you all next time out.

Thanks to Nigel for driving and providing the 4 star accomodation with sea views, even if you couldn't get the satillite TV to work (bloody sea cliffs).
