Off to Limekilns just now. All welcome, if you fancy it.
I think John and Bruce are already on their way.

Bruce was working, as it turned out. We had a good wee session, though.
It was cold on the fingers, but otherwise quite pleasant. John soloed Lion Rampant before we arrived, then he led DTs followed by me then Jen (with Freya spotting). I then led Lion Rampant, followed by John then Jen; Jen led Red Flag followed by John, then I finished by leading White Ensign followed by John.
Good fun, and nice to get back on the rock (I don't think I've rock climbed since October, and Jen hadn't led any rock climbs in over a year!)
Freya seemed very interested

On a related note - does anyone know what noise a giraffe makes?

Aye nice to get something done during the week, even if it was a bit cold. Great to see Wing Commander Currie back for a few days fae the RAF. Due to a family wedding on Saturday (what a weekend to choose!) I am unable to make the most of a four day weekend.
I am however free on Friday and Monday for a bit of cragging somewhere if anyone fancies it. Anywhere really, Aberdour. Limekilns, Northumberland etc. Anybody else at a loose end?
Cheers
jd

Aha! From http://www.africanfauna.com/giraffe.php
Even though the Giraffe is a quiet animal, it does make a distinctive flute-like noise as well as grunts and moans.
So, a bit like Andy W playing with a flute?

The distinctive noises made were certainly not flute-like, that's for sure

Though I think that I did hear an F-flat with a bit of vibratto at the crux on White Ensign!
