While it wasn't quite warm enough for bouldering sans top, the sandstone of little Fontforth was dry despite a wee afternoon shower. Had the place to myself and went through the old problems as best I could. Sector Ouest at Chateau Bruce was very overgrown although the bracken is now starting to die back with the first frosts of winter. If anyone is going down you are welcome to the mini-guide of this area that Stuart and I did, 23 problems that run from 4a to 5c. Nigel if I send it to you, could you post it somewhere on the site please? I seem to have lost the original Alan Wallace guide to the problems on the first area, anybody got an electronic copy of it?
If you haven't been down it's well worth a trip in the autumn and winter time.
And if you're quick you might just come back with a beanie full of apricot-scented chanterelles! Lovely!
Off to Majorca on a cheapy next week wae Kate. Hardly slept last night wae excitement, cheers for the DWS guide Bruce.
