Cambusbarron Quarry 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago  
Loss of a landmark.
As discussed in pub last night, the loose see-through pillar to the right of The Doobie Brothers has fallen or been pushed.
I've got some pictures which I'll pass on to Nigel for posting asap.

Jings-o! Thanks for investigating Jim. Has any damage been done to Doobie Bros? Did you think the quarry was safer looking now or are there still bits of the pillar to come down?

Hi Bruce,
One of the other pictures shows the bottom of The Doobie Brothers. It all looks solid enough at the bottom. The top has always been shoogly. There was a big rockfall from it a few years ago. We'll see if anything comes down over the winter.

For one moment, there, Bruce, I thought you were being a wee bit over-cautious by asking if it was now safe: stupid me, eh, thinking that the quarry was ever unsafe.
