Electric circular saw going free 5 Months ago
I have a Wickes 1300W circular saw. Max depth of cut 63mm.

It stopped working properly just as I was using it for what I thought would be the last job I ever used it for. The spindle spins fine but the blade 'freewheels' as if it's not fixed properly in place. I've tried the obvious dismantling and putting back together, to no effect. It may just be that the centre hole of the blade has worn and a new blade would fix it.

Since I have no further use for it, it's not worth me trying to diagnose and fix it. But if it's just a simple problem, it's a good saw for someone prepared to do the fixing. As you'll gather, I don't know enough to know if it's a simple problem or not!

If anyone wants it, it's theirs for the asking. I can bring it to the club this Thursday (22nd) or Jan 5th.
