Rosyth Quarry 7 Months ago
Hello folks, pardon me barging into your forum unannounced like this...

Very quickly, I was recently in touch with Hebe Carus, the MCofS Access and Conservation officer and she advised me to get in touch with "Bruce" with regards to a possible clean up of Rosyth Quarry.

I've put a date forward and have started to spread the word for a clean up day: Saturday 14th June. It would be good to hear from Bruce as I believe he was looking into something similar 6 months back or so. He can contact me via our website www.hwumc.co.uk

Spread the word, hopefully some of you guys can make it as well!?

Cheers,
Christian Lenehan

Yes I believe Bruce is keen to help and I am sure myself and others would be able to lend a hand as well.

Bruce is on holidays and un-networked at present but I am sure he will be in touch when he returns.

Keep the club posted.

Cheers

Scott

Thanks Scott.

I'm going to keep up to date info on my progress on our club forum: direct link here http://hwumc1.fre...rry-clean-up-proposal-t212.html#1301.

at the moment Im concentrating on getting people interested in the idea and trying to secure the councils support: specifics will then be thrashed out at a later date

barbeque, drinks, some climbing and sort hte place out at the same time... should be fun!

Re:Rosyth Quarry 6 Months, 1 Week ago
Msg for anyone that might be interested in helping out, even if you can't make it on the 14th - I'm looking to borrow a big barbeque for the day so that people can bring their own food... I'll be providing drinks.

Anyone able to help with a barbeque?

For those that are interested: http://www.ipetit...petition/RosQuarry14thJune/index.html

Rosyth is to be back filled unless we unite and send a strong message to the council: hopefully the clean up day and this petition will go some way to demonstrating that back filling is not an option the council should accept lightly!
