Hi

Ski-Scotland reckons up to 8" fell over Glencoe, Nevis Range and Cairngorm Mtn last night. Its supposed to stay cold through tuesday (-3 @ 900M), but get warm wed/thurs before dropping friday/sat. Lots of snow forecast for Friday also.

I guess Phil will report when he's out tomorrow?

How did you know I was going out tomorrow? I'll be over in the east so I can report on there.

Looking nice and snowy. Anyone know anything about hiring skis for a wee run over to Ben Macdui or are mountaineering skis something you need to buy?

Try the shop across the road from the cairngorm Lodge yh

they certainly hire cross country as well as downhill skis so might do
ski mountaineering kit as well

Yes you can hire telemark skis in Aviemore. I took my skiis half-way up Dumyat yesterday. Thankfully they weren't that heavy! And even managed a small hummocky grass and snow descent.

Phil let us know if you fancy some skiing at the weekend (Sunday?)
