In Praise of Craigdon Mountain Sports 8 Months ago
I was in Perth today looking for a pair of summer boots (having spent most of the day yesterday in Glasgow unsuccessfully). At Craigdon Mountain Sports in Perth I found exceedingly knowledgeable, helpful staff. After a discussion about the sort of terrain I would be using the boots on and a consideration of the shape of my feet, I tried on a number of boots, and even when I thought I had found "the best match", the assistant still had me try on some more just to be sure - all the time being friendly and efficient. More time was spent making a pair of custom fit Superfeet insoles, which I'll be able to transfer to other boots/ trainers if I want to.

And.....they gave me 10% discount on production of a club membership card. Well worth looking at for future purchases.

Oh dear! I guess that means I'll have to go for a walk in the sunshine for a test drive!!

More Praise for Craigdon 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Just wanted to recommend this shop again. Bought 4 season boots there a few weeks ago but decided that they were not quite the right thing for me after all, so I brought them back last Saturday (obviously only having worn them indoors). The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable - unlike the staff in another shop I visited recently where somebody tried to sell me a 3 season boot as a 4 season boot! The staff listen to the customers, discuss their requirements and take their time fitting boots and giving advice. The range of 4 season boots was the best I had seen in any of the shops I had visited in Stirling, Glasgow and Perth. I think I got a bargain with my Raichle boots for £100. 10% discount for OMC members, too.
